EXPERIENCE

Catherine is a Consultant Solicitor at specialist employment practice McCabe & Co, having previously worked at Associate level at a Top 70 firm.

 

She provides clear and strategic advice to both individuals and business clients, covering the whole range of employment issues from early stages of dispute resolution right through to Tribunal proceedings. She has experience of proceedings at the Employment Appeals Tribunal and Court of Appeal.

 

Catherine has worked as part of a small dedicated team of litigators for a large international employer, as well as on retainer for a range of SMEs. Go to the menu bar for more information about Employee and Business services.

EXPERTISE

Catherine's specialisms include all types of discrimination and whistleblowing. She spent a number of years at legal advice centre Protect advising a large volume of individual employees and businesses on complex whistleblowing cases and supporting organisations to implement effective whistleblowing arrangements.

Catherine is a law graduate from the University of Bristol and also holds a Masters degree in Human Rights from UCL. She spent several years practising immigration law both in the UK and New Zealand before specialising in employment in 2012. She sits on the Board of Trustees for Bristol-based charity Project MAMA.

PASSION

Catherine's passion is driven by her ability to assist and support clients through what can be a challenging time. She believes that individuals should be fully advised of their options and empowered to challenge unfair treatment and employers should be proactively supported to embed effective arrangements and strive for best practice.

 

She always takes the time to listen and properly understand her clients’ needs, offering clear no-nonsense advice and establishing strong professional relationships. Clients value that she is a calm and effective negotiator with an eye for detail.
